Ramiele M. Malubay, Florida Correspondent

Ramiele Macrohon Malubay, a 20-year-old from Miramar (Florida), is the seventh Fil-American to reach the Top 24 of American Idol. She has also become a Top 12 finalist of Season 7. She joins 2 other Filipino Americans who have placed in the top 10 of the popular American competition: Jasmine Trias who placed third and Camille Velasco who finished eighth in Season 3. Ramiele's powerful voice coming from her petite 4'11" frame surprises much of the listening public.

Jasmine S. Trias, Hawaii Correspondent

Jasmine Soriano Trias (born November 3, 1986) was the first Filipina-American singer and entertainer who won the third-place finalist on the American Idol (season 3)third season of American Idol due in part to tremendous call-in support from California, New York, and her native state of Hawaii (source: *USA TODAY). She has released two albums to date, one in the United States and one in the Philippines.
